A life time of service in the Catering Industry has given me insight into the process of setting up a new Restaurant or Food outlet.

Decades of service to the Catering Industry has caused me to witness many people burn their fingers while in the process of setting up a new Restaurant or Food outlet. The reason for this is due to the fact that they are not aware of the obstacles that lie ahead. A misconception that the food business is easy, is to blame.

My formative years were spent in the employ of a leading JSE listed Catering Equipment company where I acquired my drawing, planning and management skills. After a ten year apprenticeship, I joined a firm as the contracts Manager for a further ten years.

It was during this time that I came to deal with not only large contracts but the Mom and Pop small Restaurants and Take Aways and I realized how  unprepared for the task they were in that undertaking.

Now with all this knowledge and experience at hand it was time to start my own business. I bought a small Catering Equipment business with a showroom in Benoni. Soon I started to design and manufacture my own equipment and the Registered Brands “AEROGAS” and “FOGO-NOVO” were established. “AEROTEC  ULTRA-VIOLET followed after.

My passion is however planning and designing kitchens for new establishments and the satisfaction it gives me to walk into an operating kitchen and say “Wow! I did this”
